African Batik Art

We met Jonathan Biferamunda in July 2019 during our trip to Uganda. We spent three days with him where he taught Munirah the details of his techniques. His hospitality was beyond first class. In addition to learning, experiencing, and practicing his batik techniques, he also took the time to give us some Ugandan cooking lessons!

The COVID-19 pandemic has been very challenging for the people of Uganda as the tourism industry has been completely shut down.
