Join us for a Batik Scarf (Cotton) Painting Workshop hosted by Munirah Rimer of Teratai Malaysia ♥
Batik is the art of decorating cloth using wax and dye and which has been practiced for centuries. This Batik Scarf workshop is a perfect introduction to experiment with colors using non-toxic fabric dyes, learn a new craft and produce your own wearable cotton masterpiece.
Munirah will provide you with all the supplies needed and will guide you all the way through the 2.5 hour workshop. A variety of patterns will be available on a first-come first-serve basis.
Munirah Rimer is an Artist-Chef whose batik art workshops and food pop ups represent a tribute and a commitment to the authentic culture of her birthplace Malaysia. She grew up in Kedah (northern Malaysia), attended boarding school in Kuala Lumpur, and later received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the University of Miami.
She is passionate and proud to offer these unique, simple yet beautiful cultural experiences throughout South Florida.
